Lauren and Will and Elsa live in apartment that overlooks a park. When Lauren comes home from work, she likes to start cooking dinner right away. While she cooks, she tells Will about her students and how classes went. Will listens while he does the dishes, and he talks about programming and the video essays he saw on YouTube that day. When Lauren comes home from work, Elsa likes to start eating right away. She lets Will and Lauren know by swiping them with her paws as they walk by. How did we get here? When Lauren and Will first started dating, Lauren was in grad school at Columbia. Will took the A train to Morningside Park to see her and a lot of their dates involved long walks all over Harlem or Queens. Actually, Lauren eventually moved to Harlem with her friend Rachel. Will would take the 1/2/3 to meet her there, and they continued their long walks and adventures around the city. But how did we get to the apartment above the park? When Lauren was done school, she asked Will if he wanted to live with her in his apartment. He laughed, because of course he did. So after school ended, Lauren moved in with Will. And Elsa? After about a year, Lauren and Will looked for a cat. They found an ad that described Elsa and how she was good at catching mice. When they went to the pet store, Elsa's caretaker said, some cats are not meant to be normal sized. Elsa's a lot bigger than a normal sized cat, but she's good at catching mice, and she's good at cuddling on the couch, and she's settled into the apartment that overlooks the park.
